When Dubai-based mind coach Arfeen Khan, who is Hrithik Roshan’s close friend, entered the Bigg Boss 18house, he seemed to be quite a strong contender. While many assumed that he would control the house with his tactics, Arfeen wanted to play the game just like any other contestant. Opinionated and involved, he managed to stay active on the show but couldn’t save himself from an early eviction. Arfeen Khan is the latest contestant to get evicted from the Salman Khan-hosted show, which coincidentally happened on wife Sara’s birthday.
During an interview with SCREEN, Arfeen says his elimination was like a gift given to Sara on her birthday. He even said that everyone was emotional seeing his journey end on the show. “I am very competitive about my relationship with my wife, we don’t have any insecurities. We made this decision; our relationship has gotten stronger in that house,” Arfeen said pointing out how he and his wife were often targeted inside the house.
Referring to a voice note the makers had played on the show construing that he called his wife weak, Arfeen said, “We were targeted and that voice note was not in the right context. It was the opposite of how they showed it and what was said. It was shown that I called my wife weak and she should leave the house. I had said she is a soft-hearted woman and this house can be very dangerous for her. I told her before coming that I wasn’t sure if she should come on the show, I was worried about that.”

Sharing his views on the contestants, Arfeen also added, “I like Rajat Dalal and Chaahat Pandey, they are real and authentic, they don’t manipulate. But Avinash, Eisha, and Alice can go down to any level, even Vivian to some extent. Avinash can put anyone into the gutter to win that trophy. I would give heart coaching to Vivian because he uses his head too much. I have triggered Shilpa sometimes and she used profound language, but she can be very angry and extremely volatile. She is playing safe, but Shrutika will crack her and get to her.”
Commenting on this profession being targeted, Arfeen said, “They all attacked our profession. As a mind coach, I was expected to be perfect and someone who could keep control. But as Hrithik said in his video, I am not into positive or happy thinking, I am into blunt conversations, I even use provocation in therapy to get that transformation. I am glad that my profession was attacked, because now it has got people to talk about mind coaching.”
When asked if he or his wife having emotional breakdowns on the show would negatively impact their clientele, Arfeen explained, “Most of my clients have been with me for 10 years. When people meet me, they will see what I am beyond the TV show. The consequences are very good, at least people will question. There will not be any negative impact on my work.” Stating that his purpose of going on the show has been fulfilled, he added, “In Bigg Boss, I started praying 5 times a day which I haven’t done in years, that was the biggest breakthrough of my life.”
Arfeen also opened up about how his friendship with Chaahat Pandey was wrongly projected by the contestants, especially Eisha, Avinash, and Alice. He said, “Initially, I also thought Chaahat was doing drama, but she is genuine. I got to know her well, she is a powerhouse. Others cannot imagine her power which is why they call her fake. Recently, when Sara said some things that were incorrect about Eisha and Avinash, but what was not shown was that a few days back Eisha had said that I was having a fling with Chaahat. I was linked to Chaahat while my wife was sitting there. No one mentioned this during discussions, and it’s disgraceful on part of the makers to not show what Eisha and Avinash said.”

On a parting note, Arfeen also mentioned that now his wife Sara would be fearless. “Sara came on the show for me, she always thought she would leave first. If she gets over my eviction quickly she is capable of dominating that house,” Arfeen said on a parting note.
